Teamwork and tree houses!

On the weekend of the 25th of August, Kidlinks travelled all the way to the Baviaanskloof Hartland to built a new amazing tree house at a local school playground in Zaaimanshoek.

The initiative took off with strategising on Saturday, followed by building on early Sunday morning. The team was made up of Kidlinks members, local residents and volunteer students from the Netherlands.

After a day of hard work, the tree house was starting to take shape which meant that the platform could be built on Monday.

The team worked well together and the platform was up in no time (luckily no fingers were lost to hammers during the process). By Wednesday the tree house was erected and ready for inspection by a Public Health inspector. The week's activities ended with a local braai and good conversation as the sun set behind the cape fold mountains of the baviaanskloof.

Come and visit the tree house yourself the next time you visit the kloof!
